Fix & document automations

Broken Zap, half-finished n8n flow or a script nobody understands? I trace it, fix it, add error alerts and write a one-page guide.

How do you fix an automation you did not build?

I start by reading what it actually does: every trigger, step and connection, and the runs that failed. I write down the faults and a fixed-price fix list for you to approve. Then I fix, test with fictional data, add alerts so future failures are noticed, and leave a one-page guide.

What kind of faults are common?

Typical problems include steps that fail silently, duplicates sent twice, records skipped when a field is blank, and limits such as daily email quotas being hit without warning. In my own Reply-in-5 demo testing, nine faults like these were found in the first draft and fixed before it was ready to install.

What’s included

  • Trace what the automation actually does today
  • Fix the faults found, with your approval
  • Add error alerts so failures are not silent
  • One-page "how this works" guide

How it works

  1. Describe the task

Tell me the job that eats your week. I ask a few sharp questions: which tools you use, how many enquiries or records, who needs alerting.

  2. Fixed-price scope

You get a short written scope: what gets built, what you will own, what is out of scope, the delivery date and the price.

  3. Build and test with fictional data

The build happens in your accounts with the least access needed, tested first with made-up data so no real customer is affected.

  4. Live test together

We run a real test, such as a test enquiry through your own form, and you check the result yourself.

  5. Handover

A written guide, a list of every trigger and permission, how to switch it off, and access handed back.

Do you need my passwords?

No. You grant the access the job needs, and remove it at the end.

What if it is not worth fixing?

I will say so and explain a simpler option.
